French Car Names

The French must like the sound of certain English words. Billboards and brochures often intersperse them randomly within the advertising text. Some are even adopted as their own. For example, words ending in 'ing' have become nouns (shampooing and snorkeling). A cell phone company offers 'Happy Hour' and 'Forfaits No Limit' calling plans. Roads are named Rue du Sandy Ground.  When cruising in Guadeloupe and having rented a car for a couple days, we had a chuckle over the models behind which we drove those winding roads.
